Our Mission

The International Community Foundation (ICF) seeks to increase charitable giving and volunteerism across U.S. borders to benefit overseas communities and non-profit organizations.

Who We Are:

ICF is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 and committed to working with donors to expand charitable giving internationally. While we are currently focused in Mexico and Central America, we are committed to expanding U.S. charitable giving internationally, by working with donors to increase their commitment to make a difference abroad.

What We Do:

Assist U.S. donors to make tax deductible gifts to qualified nonprofit organizations throughout the Americas with an emphasis in Mexico.
Provide fiscal sponsorship for Mexican nonprofits seeking to establish a “Friends of Fund” to receive donations from third party U.S. donors.
Undertake the required due diligence and follow up site visits to ensure that individuals, companies and family foundations wishing to make charitable gifts internationally can do so legally and get the highest return on their social investment.

Our Donors:

New Americans: immigrants and first generation Americans with ties to communities abroad;
Americans living abroad: overseas second home buyers, retirees and expatriots;
U.S. Companies committed to making a difference in overseas communities where they do business;
Internationally minded Americans with a passion and commitment to international community-based giving.
