Thanks to the generosity of our many donors, over the past six years, ICF’s grantmaking has exceeded $20 million to support nonprofits across the Americas and other parts of the world. In the last year alone, ICF received over $7 million in gifts which resulted in more than $3.5 million in grants to 66 nonprofits. 73% of our funding supported charitable organizations in Mexico and an additional 16% benefited nonprofits located in Central America and the Caribbean.
ICF’s work would not be possible without the generosity and on-going support of you, our donors, as well as the tireless dedication and commitment of the members of our Board of Governors and International Advisory Board. In particular, we would like to recognize Leon Reinhart who completed his term as Board Chair this past fiscal year after four years of service. We also acknowledge the dedication of Alan Rubin who served as interim Chair through the remainder of last fiscal year.
As we look to the future, ICF remains committed to its mission. We have reaffirmed our focus on expanding community based philanthropy in Mexico and Central America, with an emphasis on the Baja California peninsula and the Gulf of California region. Over the years, the foundation has developed core competencies and long-standing community relationships in these regions. This allows us to maintain the highest possible standards of due diligence in our international grantmaking, while maximizing the impact of your charitable giving abroad.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Sincerely,
Mary Lindenstein Walshok Board Chair |
