Unrestricted Funds
ICF offers those individuals that want to make a difference but have not yet identified a specific cause or nonprofit to support, the flexibility of an unrestricted fund. Once your fund is established, ICF will manage your resources for you to actively and efficiently serve the current and emerging needs of nonprofit organizations in the regions that we serve through discretionary grants.

Restricted Funds
At ICF we allow our donors to express and reflect their personal charitable interests. A restricted fund is the best option for a donor who already has a relationship or connection established with a nonprofit organization that works in his/her charitable field of interest. Grants may be distributed by geographic area, target populations or issue.

Donor-Advised Fund
ICF offers individuals, corporations, family foundations, and private foundations the opportunity to establish either permanent or non-permanent donor-advised funds that allow active donor participation in the grantmaking process. With a “donor-advised fund”, the donor makes a recommendation to the ICF board regarding prospective grantees and grant amounts, and after a rigorous due-diligence process, ICF assists you in planning the best grantmaking strategy.

Baja Social Venture Partners Fund
The Baja SVP fund allows donors to collectively pool their resources and then cooperatively work to identify innovative nonprofit ventures that have a measured high social impact in the San Diego-Tijuana region. Donors select an organization to receive a one-time grant that will serve to “catalyze” future funding or other self-sustaining initiatives for the grantee.

DONATE Online

ICF has now made it easier for you to contribute to your favorite charity. You can now donate online using a credit card and receive immediate email confirmation and a tax receipt. To make a donation go to http://www.icfdn.org and click “donate online”.

Field of Interest Fund
These funds allow donors to contribute at any level to particular areas of interest, without opening their own donor-advised fund. ICF Field of Interest funds include: Border Environment Fund, Sea of Cortez Fund, Baja Disaster Relief Fund and the International Children’s Fund.

“Friends Of” Fund
ICF currently has 13 funds that have been established by friends of various international non-profit organizations. A donor can contribute any amount – large or small – to these funds without opening their own donor-advised fund at ICF. These “friends of” funds help worthy organizations with operational and programmatic needs throughout the year.

Sustainable Communities Fund
A gift to ICF’s Sustainable Communities Fund will support program activities making it possible to continue to do what we do best: build sustainable communities throughout the border, Baja California peninsula and beyond.

ICF Endowment Fund
Building ICF’s endowment is critically important for our long-term sustainability and growth. ICF encourages and welcomes gifts in any amount to the ICF Endowment Fund.
