Agency / Friends of Funds
An agency or friends of fund is a fund held and managed by the International Community Foundation on behalf of a nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization may receive annual distributions for unrestricted or programmatic use. The fund is technically owned by the International Community Foundation for the benefit of the nonprofit agency. Agency or friends of funds can be established by charity on either as a non-endowment fund (for on-going operational and programmatic needs) or as an endowment fund, to promote an organization's long-term sustainability.
Donors interested in supporting a specific non-U.S. charity should consider giving to one of the growing number of agency/friends of funds at the International Community Foundation. Donors contributing to an agency/friends of fund may do so either through their existing donor advised fund as an inter-fund transfer or directly by check, stock transfer or you may also give online. There is no minimum gift size for a contribution to an agency/friends of fund.
