The Claremont Graduate School From Sept. – Dec. 2000, I traveled through Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Wuhan, Guangzhuo, and Shenzhen investigating local punk scenes, including live music and venues, print publications, and graffiti art. I found vibrant and passionate music scenes in which dissent, social commentary, and a feeling of hope prevail. |
