My plan was to spend 12 months exploring caves in the southwest of China. I'm 11 months through the trip at the moment, and it's been quite a wild ride. Along the way I've discovered the 3rd largest underground chamber in the world, been the first woman to abseil down the 260m free-hanging pitch into the gorgeous "Funnel of Light", gotten to see myself on Chinese national TV, and started the Hong Meigui Caving Club.
