Facility Rental
The International Community Foundation Center is proud to offer its beautiful historic house to host your next special event. Our rental is available for meetings, conferences and even overnight stays for our donors and partner organizations.
Noyes House /includes use of 4 bedrooms and a kitchen/
Pool House/Meeting Room/Poolside /The rental includes inside pool house provided with tables and chairs for up to 30 people. Use of the poolside area for eating or socializing is also included/The pool is not included. Use of the pool for swimming is prohibited without the International Community Foundation's written consent
Noyes House Patio /Rental includes use of kitchen, Noyes House back patio, and lawn area. The capacity is 100 people/
General Facility Rental Guidelines:
Eligibility
- Non-U.S.-nonprofit organizations with established friends of funds with the International Community Foundation
- Donor advisors organizing donor education efforts for the benefit of nonprofits supported by their donor advised fund at the International Community Foundation
- Friends of the International Community Foundation
- Select pre-approved nonprofit organizations with mission complimentary to that of the Center (e.g. UCSD Cancer Center; Whittier Institute for Diabetes Prevention; San Diego Natural History Museum; National City Historical Society)
Accommodations and Pricing*
- Noyes House:
- Overnight Rental $500/night
(rental includes use of four bedroom house and kitchen with the use of refrigerator, toaster, and coffee)
- Pool House/Meeting Room/Poolside
- For meetings and social events $250/day
(8 hours Maximum. The rental includes inside pool house, tables, chairs for up to 30 people, and the use of the poolside area for eating or socializing).
- Noyes House Patio:
- Day time rental between 8 am to 5 pm (4 hours) $500
- Evening rental between 5 pm to 9pm (4 hours) $750
- Full day rental (max of 8 hours) $1,000
(Rental includes a limited amount of chairs and tables, use of kitchen, Noyes House back patio, and lawn area)
*Nonprofit rate available to nonprofits that work directly with the International Community Foundation
Reservations for Meetings and Events
- Reservations should be requested and confirmed at least 15 days prior to event.
- Reservations must be requested in writing using the Conference Room Reservation Request Form. (PDF | DOC)
- Facility payment and security deposit must be paid prior to the event. Security deposit is equal to the rental price.
- Reserving party must secure their own liability insurance for the event up to $1,500,000 in coverage.
- The International Community Foundation must approve all decorations prior to the event date.
- Reserving party is responsible for reserving off-site parking arrangements and shuttle bus service for groups with more than 7 vehicles. A list of off-site parking options in and around National City can be provided.
- Reserving party is responsible for security services for all evening events and any special event (day or night) with over 50 people.
- Reservations are non-transferrable.
- For set-up purposes and minimal office disruptions, we request that ONLY one person arrive 30 minutes prior to the meeting.
Catering
- When you select your caterer, they MUST be approved by the Center before you reserve your event.
- Someone from your organization must be on site when the caterer arrives.
- Caterers have 1 hour to set-up and 1 hour to break down.
- Caterers are responsible for clean-up ?including taking out the trash.
Terms and Conditions
- Reserving party is responsible for reserving off-site parking arrangements and shuttle bus service for groups with more than 7 vehicles.
- Cancellations of reserved space must be received in writing at least 3 working days in advance of the event to avoid charges or penalties. The International Community Foundation reserves the right to charge the full rental fee for failure to give notice within this time frame.
- Reserving party is responsible for removing glasses, paper cups, napkins, literature or any other loose trash and placing it in the trash bins. You agree to leave the facilities clean for other users. NOTE: The Center reserves the right to charge the reserving party for additional clean-up expenses that result from your event.
- The reserving party agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the International Community Foundation Center and/or the International Community Foundation and their officers, Board of Governors, employees and agents against any claims, loss, or liability arising from damage to or destruction of property or injury or death to persons occurring because of or related to this reservation.
- Reserving party agrees that any charge or expenses arising from the use of the Noyes House or Center grounds will be charged to the reserving party and will remain the responsibility of the reserving party until paid. This includes theft or property damage occurring from the use of the facilities under this agreement.
- Rental of the facilities does not include use of AV/media equipment.
- Reserving party is responsible for the behavior of their guests and family members.
- The Pool is not included in renting the facility. Use of the pool for swimming is prohibited without the International Community Foundation’s written consent and will be considered a breach of this Agreement.
Organized Tours
At this time, organized tours of the Noyes House and organic gardens will be strictly limited to Center or Foundation related parties or uses and based on availability. Interested parties may contact Amy Carstensen at (619) 336-2253.
Organic Produce Distribution Policy
- Most produce is used for our school garden program, Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center and shared with our volunteers
- Some produce is donated to UCSD Cancer Center, Healing Foods Kitchen
- We also sell our produce to local restaurants based on market prices. All sales proceeds are directed to support the ongoing sustainability of the International Community Foundation Center.
