UN Tsunami Relief Grants
The following grants were undertaken to UN Agencies in partnership with the UN Foundation to provide relief to tsunami victims in South Asia: |
| United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
- $200,000 for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for immediate disaster relief efforts in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Maldives.
- $300,000 for the UNDP’s emergency response and transitional recovery program to assist UN coordination teams on the ground in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, to construct, improve, or replace housing structures.

- $96,000 for UNICEF to support its measles immunization initiative in tsunami affected areas.
