The International Community Foundation Center is pleased to announce the addition of its two latest board members, Dennis Doyle, the former Superintendent of the National School District and, Jacqueline Reynoso, President & CEO of the National City Chamber of Commerce.
Dennis Doyle brings a wealth of experience as a former school administrator, principal and teacher. He also has past experience with school garden programs which he has helped initiate in some of the prior primary schools where he served as Principal in San Diego County. Jacqueline Reynoso is a native of National City and a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Under her leadership with the National City Chamber of Commerce, Reynoso has been instrumental in helping to launch the National City Farmer’s Market which began operations in May.
The mission of the International Community Foundation Center is to promote binational programs, outreach, dialogue and exchange aimed at promoting healthy, more livable communities in the San Diego-Baja California border region and to foster educational learning and voluntary service in order to further cross-cultural understanding, collaboration, and expanded philanthropy around the world. The Center’s is now initiating work to construct the Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center on its property with the goal of promoting nutrition education and expanded fitness and healthy food access to National City’s school children. |
