The International Community Foundation Welcomes New Chair
At its annual meeting the International Community Foundations’ Board elected its new Board Chair, Cheryl Hammond. Cheryl, who served as the foundation’s Vice Chair, will be succeeding Mary Walshok who served as the Foundation’s Chair for the past two years.
Prior to her service with the International Community Foundation, Cheryl Hammond was AT&T’s Director of Sales for Latin America where she spent twenty-two years with that company. Cheryl has also served as the Chair of the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce. Cheryl brings a wealth of proven international business and sales & marketing experience to the International Community Foundation and we are excited about the prospects of increasing the foundation’s visibility among individual, family foundation and corporate donors under her leadership. In addition to Cheryl’s new leadership role as Chair, Atul Patel continues as the foundation’s Treasurer and Roi Ewell has become our new Secretary. Mary Walshok has agreed to serve as Vice Chair on an interim basis. As this fiscal year comes to a close, the International Community Foundation would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the many years of service provided by its outgoing board members including Bob Kelly, Dr. Robert Chang, Dr. Nancy Marlin, Alan Rubin and Gabriela Flores. Each of these outgoing board members have done so much to further our foundation’s mission and we are grateful for all their collective contributions. |
