A global spotlight on HIV and AIDS this summer will include the efforts of the International Community Foundation’s considerable work on this crucial health issue. Following on this week's annual XVII International AIDS Conference being held in Mexico City from August 3rd through 8th, the foundation is cooperating with the Institute of the Americas to bring a select number of the 3,000 some journalists covering that event to Tijuana from August 9th to 11th to learn about the human side of the story at the San Diego-Baja California border. » More

International Community Foundation Relocates to National City; honors Christy Walton for her generosity

On May 30th, the International Community Foundation moved to its new permanent offices in a remodeled 1,200 square foot home located on a 6.85 acre property in National City, California which also includes the historic Noyes House and a ½ acre organic garden.   The property, which is also the home of the new International Community Foundation Center, was gifted by the foundation’s donor Christy Walton in an effort to promote expanded binational programs, outreach, dialogue and exchange aimed at fostering healthy and more livable communities in the San Diego-Baja California border region and Baja California peninsula. » More

Chandler Contributes Lofty Goals and Experience to Back Them Up

George Chandler, the Foundation's
Board Member and Secretary

In 17 years working for NASA and then 25 for the Small Business Administration, George Chandler Jr. played a role in hundreds of launches – whether they were space ships or successful businesses. Now, he’s contributing his experience to help get International Community Foundation ventures off the ground. “We’re looking at trying to bring technical assistance to enterprises that might be knowledgeable in business but not in management skills or that maybe cannot obtain financial assistance,” he said. » More
