Alicia Milla joins the Foundation's team as our new Executive Assistant

We are pleased to announce Alicia Milla as the foundation’s new Executive Assistant. As part of her responsibilities, Alicia will serve as assistant to the President  & CEO as well as provide support with other administrative duties. Alicia has worked for the past twenty-five years at many nonprofit organizations, including Youth for Understanding and was Executive Director of National Christ Child Society. Also, she has worked in Mexico and in the United States. Alicia is looking forward to be a part of the International Community Foundation team, impacting many communities across borders. Alicia Milla would like to thank Connie Tooker, in particular, for her guidance and the staff for the warm welcome and hospitality.

Connie Tooker to attend Colombia University’s School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA)

After serving as Special Assistant to the President & CEO and Manager of Operations  for two years, Connie Tooker will be leaving the foundation to pursue her Masters in International Affairs at Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA). Connie started as an intern in August 2006 and was thereafter employed in October 2006. After receiving her Masters, she hopes to work for an international organization that promotes civil society in Latin American countries. She hopes to see the foundation grow and that operational duties continue to be a priority, that help fulfill the foundation’s goals and objectives. Connie would like to thank the staff, Board of Directors, and Advisory Board at the International Community Foundation for everything that they have taught her. She thanks Richard Kiy for allowing her to be a part of the International Community Foundation’s team.

The International Community Foundation Welcomes our Newest Intern Alicia Muccillo

Alicia Muccillo is interning at International Community Foundation serving as an Assistant to Program Officer. She is going to be a third-year at the University of California, San Diego and is majoring in Political Science- International Relations and double minoring in Public Health and Religious Studies. Over the summer Alicia is providing grant administration support to the Foundation’s program officers, and is assisting Program Officer Julieta Mendez in the Oaxaca Cross-border Initiative that the Foundation is undertaking in collaboration with the Oaxaca Community Foundation.  While at the Foundation Alicia hopes to gain a more thorough understanding of cross-border nonprofits and the issues that these NGO’s confront.
