
Marianne Veach is interning at ICF serving as Assistant Program Officer. She studied U.S.-Mexico Border Issues as an undergraduate at the University Of San Diego (USD), and was involved in various volunteer projects in Mexico with orphanages and convalescent homes in the border region. Marianne has completed her first year of studies at the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where she is focusing on international development and Latin America. Over the summer Marianne is supporting ICF’s on-going research and follow-up due diligence of nonprofit organizations in Baja California and mainland Mexico. While at ICF Marianne hopes to gain a more thorough understanding of both the international grantmaking process and the non-profit sector in Mexico.

Pooja Magavi is an incoming sophomore at Canyon Crest Academy in Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA. Pooja is currently a summer intern at ICF, assisting with the development of ICF-Xchange, ICF’s online database of Mexican-based nonprofits. Pooja appreciates the welcoming atmosphere at ICF and the compassionate and dedicated staff. She hopes to further develop her interest in public relations and enjoys learning Spanish in her free time.
