ICF Recognizes Service of Retiring Board Members
With the culmination of ICF’s fiscal year on June 30th,
three board members, Jessie J. Knight Jr., Alice Tang and
Victor Vilaplana announced their retirement from the
board.
Jessie J. Knight, Jr. has served on ICF’s board since
2001 providing leadership as the Chair of our 2004 Gala
with his wife Joye Blount, and as Chair of ICF’s Board
Development Committee over the past year.
Concurrent with his retirement from ICF’s board, Jessie
recently resigned from his position as President & CEO
of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce to
become the new Executive Vice President of External
Affairs at Sempra Energy.
Victor Vilaplana, a partner with the law firm Selzer,
Caplan, McMahan & Vitek, served as a board member
ICF Recognizes Service of Retiring Board Members
and legal counsel since 1996. From 1996 to 1999 Victor
served as the foundation’s Chairman of the Board.
Alice Tang has served on ICF’s board since 2003 and
continues to be an active donor of the Foundation,
supporting nonprofit organizations in China.
Earlier this year, Chris Waddell retired from ICF’s
board and took temporary leave of absence from his
investment advisory practice at Merrill Lynch to pursue
a three year ministry with the Church of Latter Day
Saints in Barcelona, Spain.
ICF is tremendously appreciative for the long-standing
service, guidance, leadership and charitable giving
provided to us by Victor, Alice, Jessie and Chris and we
look forward to their on-going involvement as members
of the ICF family. |
