ANAI, Inc. (Franklin, NC): $13,030 to research fish and shrimp species on the Changuinola and Teribe Rivers in La Amistad National Park, Panama.

Asociación Contra la Ceguera Amazónica (Coronel Portillo, Peru): $23,305 for the purchase of medical equipment.

CETYS Universidad (Ensenada, BC, Mexico): $25,000 to forge community partnerships to educate elementary, secondary and high school students, their professors and families on the principles of Alternative Energy through the use of specially designed materials, courses and a hands-on interactive approach.

Comunidad y Biodiversidad A.C. (Guaymas, Son, Mexico): $73,394 to support the program "Restoration of Marine Natural Capital in teh Mesoamerican Reef through Community-based Marine Reserves".

Corredor Histórico CAREM, A.C. (Tecate, BC, Mexico): $15,000 to continue to preserve historical sites of Baja California and communicate the history and culture of Baja California to the public.

Cruz Roja Mexicana (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $15,000 for the replacement of equipment that was lost or damaged during Hurricane Jimena.

Fondo Mexicano para la Conservación de la Naturaleza, A.C. (Mexico City): $750,000 to conserve the Vaquita Refuge..

Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense (Chihuahua, Mexico): $15,000 to support the program "Casas de Cuidado Diario" (Homes for Every day care), a day care program that provides quality care to at-risk children, primarily those with working mothers.

Fundación Internacional de la Comunidad (Tijuana, BC, Mexico): $1,000 for operational support; $19,500 to support the organization's grantmaking program to grassroots community and economic development organizations in Tijuana, BC, Mexico.

Fundación La Puerta (Tecate, BC, Mexico): $18,000 to support the organization's efforts toward empowering local schools to become a vehicle for community education and awareness on the importance of the environment and green communities.

Fundación Televisa, A.C. (Mexico City): $15,000 to support the program "Si lo Sueñas es Posible" a fund raising initiative that grants last wishes to children with cancer.

Global Greengrants Fund (Boulder, CO): $50,000 to support the grassroots environmental movement in Baja California.

Grupo Ecologista Antares, A.C. (GEA) (Loreto, BCS, Mexico): $35,000 for general operating support.

Grupo Tortuguero de las Californias (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $2,000 to support the annual Grupo Tortuguero de las Californias meeting that will be held in Loreto, BCS, Mexico in January of 2010.

Guardianes del Agua, A.C. (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $32,000 for general operating support; $8,000 for water quality monitoring, education, advocacy and enforcement, and beach concession programs.

Hospital Infantil de las Californias, IBP (Tijuana, BC, Mexico): $17,000 to support the publication and dissemination of the Hospital's annual calender, which serves not only as their annual report, but also as a fundraising tool.

Las Patronas (La Jolla, CA): $3,000 to support the fundraising efforts of Las Patronas for the benefit of charities throughout San Diego.

Maijañuí, A.C. (San Ignacio, BCS, Mexico): $25,000 to carry out community economic development programs for the benefit of "Ejido Luis Echeverria Alvarez" to on-going environmental stewarship of land under conservation easement.

Manhattan Beach Sister City Committee (Manhattan Beach, CA): $10,000 to provide disaster relief support in Santa Rosalia, in response to Hurricane Jimena.

Ocean Discovery Institute (San Diego, CA): $4,560 to support the BAHIA program.

Project Amigo (Colima, Mexico): $97,500 to provide continued support for educational scholarships, community development projects, health clinics, university housing for rural students, and volunteer service projects.

Pronatura Noroeste (Ensenada, BC, Mexico): $130,000 to recover and conserve fishing resources in the Gulf of California at a regional and site level.

Puente a la Salud Comunitaria (Oaxaca, Mexico): $35,000 for programmatic and administrative support.

Punta de Mita Foundation (Punta Mita, Jalisco, Mexico): $38,000 to support education and health projects in Punta de Mita and surrounding communities.

PVO Mexico, A.C. (Mexico City, Mexico): $50,000 to support the construction and equipment of a public library in Tuxpan, Veracruz.

Redondo Beach Rotary Club (Redondo Beach, CA): $10,000 to purchase two firetrucks for the municipality of La Paz, BCS, Mexico to improve fire safety in the community.

San Diego Natural History Museum (San Diego, CA): $140,930 to support expanded programming and collaboration for PROBEA through teacher training in La Paz, BC, Mexico.

Shanghai Charity Foundation (Shanghai, China): $14,000 to support scholarship programs.

Sociedad de Historia Natural Niparaja, A.C. (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $32,000 for public education on the Paredones Amarillas mine.

Waterkeeper Alliance, Inc. (Irvinton, NY): $20,200 to support the Waterkeeper Alliance Conference in La Paz, BCS, Mexico from June 9 to June 13, 2010.
