Casa Hogar Cabo San Lucas, A.C. (Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico): $11,000 for general operating support.

Centro de Incidencia Ambiental (CIAM) (Panama City, Panama): $274,615 for operating support.

Centro de Investigación Científica y Estudios Superiores de Ensenada (CICESE) (Ensenada, BC, Mexico): $6,200 to support research on great white sharks at Guadalupe Island, Mexico.

Chula Vista Nature Center (Chula Vista, CA): $250,000 For general operating support.

Comunidad y Biodiversidad, A.C. (COBI) (Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico): $130,000 to strengthen community-based marine conservation and restoring natural capital in northwest Mexico using fisheries management tools and policies.

Conservación del Territorio Insular Mexicano ISLA (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $70,000 for biodiversity conservation, public participation, and a community center in the Gulf of California region.

Corporacion Foro de la Juventud Guayaquil (Guayaquil, Ecuador): $10,000 to support a micro-business program that benefits youth, as well as rural communities from the province of Guayas.

Eco-Alianza de Loreto, A.C. (Loreto, BCS, Mexico): $25,000 to support science for better management of Loreto Bay National Marine Park.

"Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW) (Eugene, OR): $29,000 to provide legal and technical advice in Panama. ELAW proposes to collaborate with El Centro de Incidencia Ambienta (CIAM) to protect forest and marine resources in Panama. ELAW will provide legal and scientific tools, support, and training to help CIAM challenge environmental abuses, win lasting victories, and gain the capacity to protect Panama's environment for years to come. "

Fondo Accion Solidaria, A.C. (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $10,000 to support local communities and grassroots organizations working to conserve the Gulf of California?s biodiversity and coastal ecosystems.

Fronteras Unidas Pro Salud, A.C. (Tijuana, BC, Mexico): $3,899 to support the "Dile a una Amiga" program, an early treatment and detection of cervical cancer in migrant communities of Tijuana, Baja California.

Fundacion Albatros Media, (FAM) (Panama City, Panama): $75,000 to support regional media coverage of environmental issues.

Fundacion Ayuda Niños La Paz, A.C. (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $45,000 to support the program "Becas 2009-2010". The program will fund scholarships for 150 students who live in impoverished areas on the outskirts of La Paz.

Fundacion Comunitaria Oaxaca (Oaxaca, Mexico): $3,500 to support the Tavehua Youth Project coordinated by Fondo Oaxaqueño para la Conservacion de la Naturaleza.

Fundacion de Apoyo para Niños Especiales, A.C. (FANE) (Tijuana, BC, Mexico): $10,500 for general operating support.

Grupo Ecologista Antares (Loreto, BCS, Mexico): $17,000 for general operating support.

Los Niños, Inc. (Chula Vista, CA): $10,000 to support the program "Areas Verdes", an integrated program of nutrition and ecology that also promotes the creation of green space in school and community locations.

Pronatura Noroeste (Ensenada, BC, Mexico): $25,000 to draft the conservation plan for the Bahia de los Angeles Biosphere Reserve coastline.

Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County (Lakeside, CA): $96,000 to fund program expenses and hire the garden program manager for the Olivewood Garden and Learning Center (the children’s garden program at the ICF Center.)

Sociedad de Historia Natural NIPARAJA, A.C. (La Paz, BCS, Mexico): $170,000 to support the marine conservation program in the southern Gulf of California titled, "Moving Beyond Challenges: Promising junctures for marine conservation in the southern Gulf of California".

The Ocean Foundation (Whashington, D.C.): $35,000 to support the Gulf of California Long-term Underwater Monitoring Program.

Trust for Conservation Innovation (San Francisco, CA): $55,000 for the Olazul project, a pilot project that is working to create community-based alternative livelihoods for local fishing communities in La Paz, Baja California Sur, and in Sonora/Sinaloa, Mexico.

Urban Ecology Center, Inc. (Milwaukee, WI): $15,000 for general operating support.
