The
Centro's computer lab provides access
to new opportunities for young students. |
Centro
de Comunidad in Tijuana's Tecolote neighborhood
has been dedicated to serving the community
for more than 10 years. It offers after
school tutoring, karate, and a computer
lab, as well as adult classes in sewing,
haircutting and manual arts.
Currently the Centro is sponsoring 30 students
from the community to engage in a "Community
Building Project" to research and archive
the history of the community and its founders
to create awarness among the young generation
and foster community pride and development.
By
supporting the Centro de Comunidad you will
contribute to:
-
The
Community building project: The Center
requires an initial budget of $2,000
dollars to provide workshops and meeting
supplies so that students can learn
the basics of researching and archiving.
-
Your support will help the young generation
of the Tecolote community make their
neighborhood a better place.
