TIJUANA
PUBLIC LIBRARY UPDATE
During
Spring 2002 the Tijuana Library Fund was established
at ICF to facilitate charitable giving to the first
major public library in Tijuana. Thanks to the collective
efforts of ICF donors such as John McNeece III, Sempra
Energy, Leon Reinhart, Lucy Killea and Augustine Gallego
along with the generous support of the Lannan Foundation
and various other local Tijuana donors, the Loyola Public
Library at the Universidad Ibero Americana is now close
to becoming a reality. While much progress has been
made on the project, another US$280,000 is required
to keep the construction on track for a March 15, 2003
completion.
Donors
interested in contributing to help complete the Tijuana
Public Library project should contact Richard Kiy at
(619) 235-2300.
