BOARD DEVELOPMENTS

During the Fall 2002, ICF’s Board of Governors elected Leon Reinhart to serve as ICF’s new Chairman of the Board. The Former Chairman and CEO of First National Bank, Reinhart brings over 30 years of experience in international business to the foundation. In other developments, ICF’s Board of Governors also elected two new members: Chris Waddell and Dr. Alice Chung-Chau Tang.

Chris Waddell is a native San Diegan and has been senior executive with the International Division of Merrill Lynch since 1986. Waddell is in charge of Merrill’s Mexico asset management group where he maintains relationships with prominent businessmen throughout Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish and graduated from San Diego State University, where he was a star athlete. Chris and his wife Carol have four children. University

A native of Chunking, China, Dr. Alice Tang is a marine biologist, former university professor, noted aqua culture expert, businesswoman and philanthropist with a commitment to promoting global peace and well as expanding the level of charitable giving to China.

With a masters degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a doctorate in marine biology from Scripps Institute of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Tang brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to ICF’s Board which will prove integral as the foundation expands its charitable giving to China as well as the marine sciences.
