SEA OF CORTEZ FUND ESTABLISHED

The Sea of Cortez Fund has been established at ICF to facilitate discretionary small grants of $10,000 and under to Mexican non-profit organizations for specific projects and initiatives to support marine conservation, coastal habitat protection and the promotion of sustainable communities in and along the Sea Cortez. The Sea of Cortez Fund will be managed like ICF’s existing Border Environment Fund (BEF) with grant decisions made by a to-be-formed volunteer working group consisting of people knowledgeable about conservation issues related to the Sea of Cortez. Our first grant cycle will be announced on Earth Day 2003.
