ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVE DONATIONS
ICF recently participated
in a collaborative matching grants initiative with the
Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense (FECHAC),
a Mexican Foundation established by businessmen from
the State of Chihuahua with a strong commitment of giving
back to their community.
The ICF/FECHAC alliance has resulted in grants totaling
$41,000 to six NGOs working benefiting orphan
children and/or children living in extreme poverty in
Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. ICF donated $20,500 through
the Sempra Energy International Community Investment
Fund with the remaining $20,500 in matching grant funds
coming from FECHAC. Grants included: included: $6,000
to Amiga de la Obrera, A.C. to purchase software to
update learning materials; $6,000 to Asilo de Niños
y Casa Hogar, I.B.P. to repair plumbing; $3,000 to Casa
Hogar de Niñas de Chihuahua, A.C. to purchase
software for previously donated computers; $16,000 to
Casas del Cuidado Diario, I.B.P. for a mini-olympics
festival; $4,000 to the Instituto Down de Chihuahua,
A.C. for furnishing a room for dental exams; and $6,000
to La Casa del Buen Pastor, A.C. towards five long white
boards, markers, and erasers; as well as a new copier

program, ICF established the Chihuahua Fund where every
dollar deposited to the fund will be matched by FECHAC
on a 1:1 basis.
