Fund established to assist orphans and under-privileged children in Los Cabos:

Approximately five years ago the John and Barbara Cellar Family of Saratoga, California entered the "For Pete's Sake" marlin charity tournament in Cabo San Lucas as "Team Misiones." The Cellars enjoyed the camaraderie of their fishing expeditions so much that in subsequent years they recruited their friends. Recognizing the many pressing societal needs among the under-privileged in the Los Cabos area, Team Misiones began to focus their attention towards "fishing for a cure" with the goal of supporting charitable causes in the area. This led to their establishment of the Team Misiones Los Cabos Fund through ICF with a current focus on supporting Casa Hogar de Los Cabos, A.C., an orphanage under construction in Los Cabos.

According to donor John Cellar, "we expect to have a significant infusion of resources for charitable based work in and around Cabo San Lucas this coming year." " Speaking for my family, the Team Misiones Fund offers us a chance to temporarily remove ourselves from the daily trauma of the war and the on-going terrorism actions and threats worldwide," stated Mr. Cellar.
