ICF was featured in
the December 2001 issue of Global Giving Matters, a
monthly publication of the New York-based Synergos Institute
and the World Economic Forum in a news brief entitled
"Cultivating young donors to "give back"
in Asia and the Americas," focusing on the establishment
of ICF's new affinity group, the Young International
Philanthropists.
ICF was also featured in the American
Chamber of Commerce of Mexico's Business Mexico's 2002
Special Edition on Corporate Philanthropy in an article
entitled "Share the Wealth: Corporate Philanthropy
is Slowly on the Rise in Mexico Now that Businesses
Are Catching on to the Benefits." In the article
ICF President, Richard Kiy, highlighted the challenges
of corporate giving among border area maquiladoras indicating
"corporate philanthropy is growing on the border
but it is not enough. The problem is the clash of competing
interests: the cost-cutting culture of the maquiladora
industry versus the will to invest resources into the
communities that play host to it.
