ICF Welcomes
Dr. Raul Hinojosa to the Board of Governors
ICF is pleased
to announce the appointment of Dr. Raul Hinojosa
as its latest member of its Board of Governors.
Dr. Hinojosa is an Assistant Professor of International
and Regional Development in the School of Public
Policy and Social Research at the University
of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Hinojosa
was born in Mexico, raised in Chicago and received
his B.A. (Economics), M.A. (Anthropology) and
Ph.D. (Political Science) at the University
of Chicago. He
is the author of numerous articles and books
on the political economy of regional integrations
in various parts of the world, including trade,
investment and migration relations between
the US, Mexico, Latin American and the Pacific
Rim. He is also the founding research director
of the North American Integration and Development
(NAID) Center at UCLA.
Together with Rep. Esteban
Torres of California, Dr. Hinojosa Ojeda is
the originator of the proposal for the North
American Development Bank, which was created
by the US and Mexican governments in 1994.
Dr. Hinojosa is a board member of the Los
Angeles Community Development Bank and has
been appointed to the Economic Strategies
Panel of the State of California.

nation's leading experts in the area of transnational
community development and his on-going research
on trends and patterns in immigrant based
remittances will assist ICF as the foundation
increases its outreach with potential immigrant
donors from Latin America and the Asia," said
