Border Philanthropy Partnership and ICF Spearhead Study on Corporate Giving Trends Along Mexico's Northern Border
Recognizing the need to redefine corporate giving among corporations operating along the U.S.-Mexico border, the Border Philanthropy Partnership (BPP), an alliance of 9 funders and 21 U.S.-Mexico border community foundations, undertook a study led by ICF entitled Corporate Giving Trends in the U.S.-Mexico Border Region. >>click here

ICF Launches ICFXchange, a Donor-Grantee Service for Baja California
ICF is pleased to announce an online service for its donors and grantees that will help to identify common points of interest, potential projects to support, and opportunities for volunteers. ICFXchange (http://www.icf-xchange.org) was launched in March 2006 thanks to the support of the Reinhart Foundation, Wells Fargo Bank, and an anonymous donor. >>click here

VOSH-Illinois Collaborates With ICF to Provide Medical Services in Baja California Sur
A group of 24 volunteers comprised of six optometrists, two opticians, one dentist and trained laypersons from VOSH-Illinois (Volunteers for Optometric Services to Humanity-Illinois Chapter) and the Rotary Club of Oak Lawn, Illinois working in conjunction with ICF and DIF of Loreto and Fundación Deborah Wayne in San Ignacio provided free eye and dental care to over 1200 people in the towns of Loreto and San Ignacio, Baja California Mexico from Jan 12-22, 2006. The primary mission of VOSH is to facilitate the provision of vision care worldwide to people who can neither afford nor obtain such care. This fits in precisely with the goals of ICF, which helped to facilitate and fund a portion of the trip. >>click here

ICF and FIC Organize First Binational Gala Promoting Cross-border Regional Philanthropy
On September 8th, 2006, the International Community Foundation (ICF) and its Baja California based sister foundation, Fundacion Internacional de la Comunidad (FIC) will hold their first joint gala celebrating their efforts to expand regional cross-border philanthropy in the San Diego-Baja California border region. The theme of this first ever gala will be “San Diego-Baja California: One Region towards a Brighter Future” and will be held at the Kona Kai Resort in Shelter Island. Malin Burnham, President of Burnham Real Estate and Lic. Mauricio Fernández Margain, President of FEMA Automotriz, will be the two Honorary Co-Chairs of the event. >>click here
