Dr. Enrique Acosta - Senior Advisor
![]() In an effort to better support the International Community Foundation’s programmatic efforts in support of the Dulce Wireless Tijuana (DWT) project, Dr. Manuel Enrique Acosta Meza Nuñez joined the foundation as a Senior Advisor. Dr Acosta recently retired as the Director of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) Clinica #27 in Tijuana, the largest IMSS health clinic in the Republic of Mexico with over 290,000 patients. In addition to maintaining an active family medicine practice, Dr. Acosta has served in numerous leadership positions over the years in Tijuana’s medical community including the Secretary General of the alumni for the UABC Medical School (1987-1988) and founding Vice President of the Association of Family Practice Medical Specialists of Tijuana in the early 1990s. For the past 18 months Dr. Acosta has collaborated closely with the Foundation in his former capacity as IMSS Director working closely in support of the Dulce Wireless Tijuana project. In coming on board as a Senior Advisor for the Foundation, Dr. Acosta will ensure the continuity of DWT at IMSS, assist the foundation with a cost benefit analysis of the wireless e-health solution developed and assist in the project’s future scalability. |
