Cheryl Hammond
Cheryl Hammond recently retired from AT&T as Director of Sales for Latin America where she spent twenty-two years at AT&T, including eighteen years working with AT&T's Latin America operations in various sales leadership and market development roles. Ms. Hammond is currently on the Executive Committee at the Otay Mesa Chamber. She has also has accepted an invitation to join the Development Committee at the San Diego Museum of Art. She has also been invited to join the Advisory Board for two start-up companies that have business related to Mexico.

Atul Patel
Atul Patel
is a graduate of the University of Wales, Great Britain. He worked and lived in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East before moving to the United States. Mr. Patel joined PriceSmart, Inc. when it began expanding operations into emerging markets in Central America, the Caribbean, and Asia, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Treasurer. He brings with him to International Community Foundation a wealth of international management experience in the financial arena, in addition to strong analytical and communication skills, and he has demonstrated the ability to work with people across cultural and racial lines.

Roi L. Ewell
Roi Ewell is Vice President of Human Resources for SeaWorld San Diego overseeing all personnel related matters to a talent base of more than 4,000 at SeaWorld, He also supervises the Safety and Risk Management for the park, along with local government and community relations.

Yuri A. Calderón Yuri Calderón is a Managing Partner for Garcia Calderon Ruiz, LLP. Mr. Calderón serves as General Counsel to Otay Water District, Southwestern Community College District and Oxnard Elementary School District. Mr. Calderón is the longest serving member of the executive board of the national Hispanic Bar Association, has served as General Counsel to the California Latino School Board Association, and is currently the general counsel to the Latino Caucus of the League of California Cities.

Currently serves as
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Nuffer, Smith, & Tucker,
the oldest public relations firm in San Diego, CA, where she oversees
all aspects of client administration and reporting, as well as direct
management of a number of the company’s large accounts. Ms. Correia-
Moreno is an active member of the San Diego community and has served
on the board or committees of many non-profit organizations including
the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Crime Victims Fund and LEAD San Diego.
Samuel Simon Dychter, M.D.
Dr. Dychter is a physician and biopharmaceutical professional with over 11 years of extensive experience in international clinical drug development. He is currently Senior Medical Director at Halozyme Therapeutics in San Diego, CA. Dr. Dychter trained as a general medical practitioner and transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, where he has worked in the development of medicines in oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases.

Medicine and Deputy Director of The Brown Foundation Institute of
Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases at The University
of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She serves on the board
of the Pew Charitable Trust and has served on a number of national
and international committees dealing with education and health in
the United States and third world countries.
Anthony (Tony) Kinninger
Mr. Kinninger is the founder, President and CEO of Orange Commercial Credit (OCC), Anaheim, California, San Diego Commercial Finance (SDCF), San Diego, California, and Olympic Credit Fund (OCF), Olympia, Washington, companies that he has owned and managed for four decades. OCC, SDCF, and OCF offer professional financial management experience and factoring services to mid-size to Fortune 500 companies, across all industries, to enhance their cash flow, profits, and customer relationships. Mr. Kinninger is also the founder, President and CEO of Ansonia Credit Data, A Business Credit Co-op, dedicated to helping businesses grow by making sound credit decisions.
Gabriela Manriquez Ms. Manriquez is the Sr. Director of Government Affairs Latin America for Qualcomm. She joined the International Community Foundation's Advisory board in 2006. Prior to Qualcomm, she worked as the Director of International Projects for NextWave Telecom, based in San Diego, California. In 1995, she worked at the Federal Communications Commission's International Bureau in Washington, D.C.
Alejandra Mier y Terán
Alejandra Mier y Terán is Executive Director for the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce. Since she started her role as Director for the Chamber in 1999, Alejandra has transformed the Chamber to a truly binational institution. Under her leadership, the Chamber works closely with both private and government institutions in Baja California to solve common problems such as developing effective border transportation infrastructure and educating businesses on how to expand cross-border commerce..
Richard (Rick) L. Romney
Prior to becoming a board member, Mr. Romney served on International Community Foundation's Advisory Board. He was one of the founding partners of Spieker Partners. He worked in Oregon and Washington for 15 years before moving to San Diego in 1996. As Senior Vice President for San Diego County, Mr. Romney hired and developed a team of 30 people which in five years acquired or developed 50 buildings totaling approximately 3 million square feet of office and flex space worth approximately $600 million.
