Alicia is the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO of the International Community Foundation. She comes to ICF with a solid background in nonprofit management. Most recently, she served as Director of the National Christ Child Society, a Catholic charity based in Washington, D.C where she managed an annual budget of $350,000/year and provided support to more than 40 chapters in the USA. Her other prior nonprofit work includes having been the Director of Mount Pleasant Main Street, Inc., dedicated to promoting the cultural uniqueness and enhancing the economic health of the Mount Pleasant neighborhood in Washington DC. Alicia has also served as a program officer for Youth for Understanding-USA, a non-profit student exchange program, and was the YFU-Mexico National Director for more than 10 years. Alicia has a degree in Modern English language and Literature from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City, Mexico. She was the recipient of the UNAM medal Gabino Barreda, awarded for academic merit for the highest cumulative grade point average in her graduating class. Alicia is bilingual in Spanish and English and she speaks fluent French. |
