 Alicia joined ICF in July 2008 as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO. She was promoted as the foundation's Gifts and Grants Administrator in June 2010. She is in charge of the due diligence and oversight of the Foundation’s grantmaking as well as of all incoming donations. Her responsibilities entail working closely with grantees and donors. Alicia came to ICF with a solid background in nonprofit management having served as Executive Director of Mount Pleasant Main Street Inc. in the Washington DC area. She was the National Director of Youth for Understanding de Mexico A.C., for over 15 years. She also served as Program Officer for Latin America and Europe in Youth For Understanding Inc. Alicia is a master’s candidate in Leadership and Nonprofit Management at the University of San Diego (USD). She has a bachelor’s degree in Modern English language and Literature from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City, Mexico. She is the recipient of the UNAM medal Gabino Barreda, awarded for academic merit for the highest cumulative academic average. Alicia is fluent in Spanish and French. |
