The International Community Foundation seeks an enthusiastic, driven and independent intern to provide support to the foundation’s Operations Manager.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist with the operations of the foundation:
- Data Entry: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, & Gift Management
- Filing
- Board Relations: help coordinate June 2008 Board meeting; Actionable Items
- Fiscal Year 2008 Audit in July/August 2008
- Assist in looking at foundation’s website for grammatical errors.
- Assist with Spanish translation of the foundation’s website.
- Other duties as needed
Assist with the foundation’s relocation to National City:
- Assist in the transition and relocation of our office from Sorrento Valley to National City (Center for Cross Border Philanthropy.)
- Assist in event planning the May 31st Luncheon at the Center for Cross Border Philanthropy (National City.)
- Compile a mailing list of all of our donors, friends, vendors for the move
- Assist in developing a “We’re Moving” post card
- Contact all foundation’s vendors to notify them of our address change
- Help to recruit volunteers for the foundation and the Center for Cross Border Philanthropy in National City.
- Other duties as needed.
Assist with development of ICF-Xchange:
- Update contact information and project profiles for ICF-Xchange website.
- Assist Mexican nonprofits in learning how to use the ICF-Xchange module and its importance.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree candidate related to international relations, social sciences, public policy, or other related fields, with a focus on Latin America.
- roficiency in English and Spanish
- Excellent research, and written skills
- Excellent computer skills (i.e. Word, and Excel) and able to navigate and learn new programs quickly (i.e. FIMS, ICF-Xchange)
- Capacity to simultaneously work on multiple tasks and projects, and set priorities for a challenging workload
- Able to delivery assignments on time.
